Six days, Sedan, France to Rolduc, Netherlands

Something over 2,000 miles between the start line at Sedan, France and the finish at Rolduc, Netherlands. The days below are where we sleep, not how we get there — the roadbook is the organisers’ work and isn’t ours to publish. The interesting detail arrives on the map, as we drive it.

The ten

United Kingdom, France, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Italy, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Netherlands. Nine of them on the roadbook, and the United Kingdom for the small matter of getting to Sedan and home from Rolduc.

It isn’t a race. There are no penalties for late arrival and no awards beyond finishers’ awards. The suggested route deliberately avoids Swiss and Austrian motorways, which is a polite way of saying the organisers have found the good roads.
