Us, and the run
Evie and Andy
We keep a TR4A (called Galahad), a Spitfire 4 and a Mk1 GT6 between us, in varying states of being fettled. Evie is a confident classic driver in her own right, particularly in the 4A — a point she has had cause to make to at least one commentator who assumed she would be navigating.
Andy administers the Dorset group of the TR Register. Before cars there were bicycles: London–Edinburgh–London twice as a rider, and more recently on the other side of the table manning the Boston control. On four wheels, the 2023 Round Britain Reliability Run in a PI TR6, the 2024 Ten Countries Run — which turned into eleven countries after a detour — and helping run the South West control at Gurston Down for the 2025 RBRR.
We will share the driving. That matters to us for its own sake, and also because the classic car world still looks more male than it needs to.
The Ten Countries Run
Adopted by Club Triumph after a small trial run in 2003, the 10CR grew out of a simple challenge: why can’t you throw some gear in the back of your car, grab a map and just drive. It now draws upwards of ninety crews from around the world.
over 2,000 miles over six days, from Sedan, France to Rolduc, Netherlands, across ten countries and a good number of Alpine passes. It is emphatically not a race — there are no penalties for late arrival and no awards beyond finishers’ awards. In a modern car it is challenging. In a 1953 TR2 it is character building. The route, day by day →
TS2
TS2 is owned by the TR Register and held by the TS2 Trust for the benefit of its membership. Members can apply to use her where doing so promotes the marque or the club, and we are hugely grateful to have been trusted with her. Her story is here →
